10 Days of Emily

Emily Isabelle was born 10 days ago and we all have been enjoying every minute of her. From the sneezes to the burps to the little yawns, it's going to be fun to do this all over again! We're a bit overdue with getting pictures posted, so allow me to catch everyone up!
Let me take you back to the morning of December 3rd. Kimmie woke me up at about 7:30am and told me that she was having contractions. So we calmly prepared ourselves and made our way to the hospital. Here was our Mommy-to-be waiting patiently in triage...

9:42am, between contractions

9:42am, during a contraction
It didn't take long though (well ok, maybe it did in Kimmie's eyes). We were transfered to the birthing center around noon and at 2:32pm, after about a couple hours of labor and only 7 minutes of pushing, Emily Isabelle was born!

2:35pm, 3 minutes old

2:40pm, not happy

3:43pm, a little happier

5:42pm, the first bath!

5:48pm, after the bath and very wrinkly!

The next day, 2:35pm, exactly one day old and thrilled!

Mommy loves those close up pics!
Maddie is very excited to have a little sister. She has been a great big sister so far. Here is a picture of my three girls!

We've been trying to keep Maddie busy with fun projects. For example, here is Daddy and Maddie making brownies!

Bath time is now more exciting than ever trying to keep track of two very dirty girls.

So that's how life is going in a household dominated with X chromosomes. Hope you all enjoyed the tour!

PS- My verifcation phrase for this post is "Gonad friendly"... Moe are you picking these phrases or am I just that lucky? |

Kim and Greg- Congratulations on your new addition to your family. How ironic that Madison was born near Poppys birthday and Emily was born on Aunt DiDis Birthday. I'm sure that Nanny is gleeming from above on all of her Great Grandchildren. Madison,Emily,Dakota and Riley. Have a Merry Christmas
